Genital growths and lumps may be the first indication that a person has caught a sexually transmissible infection. These may include:
  • genital warts
  • molluscum contagiosum ( MC )
  • condylomata lata ( syphilis )

Our clinic offers various treatments for genital and anal warts, as well as for molluscum. Options include topical (cream) treatment and cryotherapy ( liquid nitrogen treatment ). Minor surgery may also be performed if necessary.

Genital warts can be prevented in both men and women. Do speak with our doctor regarding the HPV ( human papillomavirus ) vaccine or Cervical Cancer vaccine. In patients who are already diagnosed with HPV infection or genital warts, it is important to consider vaccination for your partner as well.

In addition to warts or molluscum contagiosum, there are other causes of growths or lumps in the genital region, such as:

  • benign skin tumours and cysts ( eg. keratoacanthoma )

  • Vestibular papillomatosis / Micropapillomatosis labialis
